Unveiling Greece: Discoveries from the JCCI-EDI Sales and Production Conference

Καλημέρα (Kali̱méra – Good morning!)

On October 21, 2023, we kicked off our Greek-themed JCCI-EDI Sales and Production Monthly Conference with this lively greeting. Hosted by the John Clements Leadership Institute (JCLI), we explored the various aspects of Greece, from its culture to its circumstances. We ventured toward different horizons: from its honorable mark in education to its current rise in the economy. In line with the colors of Oktoberfest, the JC Hub was adorned with curtains of white and blue that reflect the Greek flag. We even got a taste of Greek cuisine, with delicious dishes such as gyros that everyone gushed over.

Sharing Insights

Top executives and senior leaders from John Clements Consultants Inc. fired up the crowd by giving icebreakers that alluded to Greek mythology (through speed blitz trivia games) and Greece as a cradle of education (e.g., from figures of history to the Socratic method).

After boosting everyone’s energy with a dive into the past, we were educated about Greece’s economy. After going through the 2008 – 2010 debt crisis, Greece made its comeback as it became an attractive investment destination on an international scale. Different factors played into this uprise, such as the Greek government creating a pro-business environment, the country striking investments with big company names (such as Amazon, Google Cloud, Microsoft, and the like), and the way they capitalize on their unique advantage of being the crossroad of three continents. The country has been cultivating its infrastructure as well, and creating an exceptional workforce by putting a premier into education. In closing, it was discussed that the Philippines could eventually be the parallel of Greece as we strive for success after overcoming debt.

John Clements leaders spoke about their international trips as well, elaborating on different industries and sharing the lessons they gathered as they traversed the countries of the Czech Republic, Finland, and Dubai. Many opportunities for flourishing and growth were spoken about.

Greek Fashion

John Clements Consultants in Greek fashion

Employees strove to match the fashion of the early Greek times, donning togas and regal dresses, wearing accessories of gold that sparkled brightly under the sun. Naturally, we wanted to reward their efforts and recognize their amazing outfits. After recognizing the top performers of each division, we had a costume contest, where people were rated based on resounding shouts and cheers. It was definitely a fun event and we’re excited to see what is in store for us next.
