Party Like Gatsby: A John Clements Consultants – EDI Staffbuilders Celebration

Nothing beats the glitz and glamour of the Roaring Twenties, and John Clements Consultants and EDI – Staffbuilders International family brought the mesmerizing brilliance of that era for 2023! On December 7th, JCCI-EDI honored the dedicated employees of the company, danced their hearts away, and celebrated the glory of the times.

A Gilded Gathering and the Gatsby Glow

Everyone came in their glamorous Gatsby outfits – gorgeous, dapper, and astonishing. The venue was filled with the grandeur of black and gold elegance that reflected the special soirees of the past. Everyone was abuzz with excitement and eagerness as early as 5 PM, and we all had the opportunity to enjoy the mesmerizing Manila Bay sunset before going for the revelries.

Oh, How Far We’ve Come

Our President and CEO strutted down the walkway among the glitter and gold, beginning the night with a touching speech. She acknowledged the efforts and achievements of everyone in John Clements Consultants and EDI Staffbuilders International, congratulating everyone for their hard work and recognizing the family as “the backbone” of all the successes we have attained. She urged everyone to pursue greatness beyond what we have achieved.

And what’s a JCCI-EDI Party without the spirit of competitive dancing? For this year, the company’s divisions did not fail to deliver an enthralling performance with the dance presentations! After we enjoyed the sumptuous dishes prepared by the chef of Admiral Hotel Manila, we grooved into the energetic music and lively performances of all the teams.

Accordingly, the StaffBuilders Asia Division grabbed the grand prize with a smashing performance; the Professional Staffers Division took home the 2nd place; while the EDI Team placed 3rd.

In between dance presentations and service awards, we drummed up the anticipation of the crowd with major and minor raffle prizes, and we got a lot of lucky winners that night! Beyond that, the entire venue never lost a beat of energy, as everyone got up into a dancing frenzy that filled the atmosphere with great moves and the loudest cheers.

The major prizes included great items and smashing opportunities. The highlight of all these fabulous prizes is the latest Apple iWatch, which was won by a member of Japan Desk! Quite an envious prize that even the hosts of the night clamored for.

This year we had 10 loyal Service Awardees! A plaque of appreciation was given to each awardee, graciously handed out by members of our MANCOM – Ms. Carol Dominguez, Mrs. Lil Dominguez, Cesar Averia Jr., Grace Sorongon, Mario Biscocho, and Rita Estella.

Ms. Carol gave a moving speech acknowledging the incomparable value and contributions of Mr. Cesar Averia, and her experiences with him that influenced her and John Clements at large.

Mr. Cesar shared a speech as well, one that rang with tones of gratitude and fervor, showing his love and dedication to his craft. He congratulated and thanked everyone as well, recognizing that we all form the backbone of the company, and he spurred us to pursue even greater heights of success. To go beyond and to strive even further!

The night eventually ended; though the amazing vibe felt endless. We partied, danced, and celebrated as much as we worked hard over the years. As the year wraps up, we reflect on our resilience and unwavering commitment to our work’s principles. We recall how we kept growing and improving, even when things got tough.
