Austrian Delegation Visits John Clements Consultants – EDI Staffbuilders

Last April 17, 2023, John Clements Consultants, Inc. – EDI Staffbuilders International, Inc. and our partner in Germany, C&C Human Resource Development GmbH had the privilege of hosting a presentation and meeting with the Austrian delegates who were on a one-week trade mission to the Philippines.  The meeting was organized by Advantage Austria Philippines.  The delegates were comprised of Dr. Guenther Wiesinger, Mr. Maximilian Buchleitner, Dr. Natascha Miljković, Ms. Julia Moreno-Hasenöhrl  and Ms. Angelika Kulhanek of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber; Ms. Katharina Schild of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Labour and Economy – Department of Labor Market Policy and Globalization Funds; Ms. Margit Kreuzhuber of the Austrian Business Agency; Mr. Thomas Kissich of Malteser Ordenshaus Gemeinnützige Pflegebetriebs GmbH; and Ms. Christina Stieber and Ms. Ma. Teresa Francisco of Advantage Austria Philippines. Also present were Mr. Wolfgang Schuetze, CEO of Procivite Group, and Mr. Christian Hallerbach and Mr. Mathias Hallerbach of C&C Human Resource Development GmbH.

Ms. Carol Dominguez, President and CEO of John Clements Consultants, Inc., officially welcomed the delegates and gave a brief introduction about John Clements Consultants, Inc. and EDI Staffbuilders International, Inc.  This was followed by a presentation on the Talent Landscape in the Philippines by Ms. Grace Sorongon, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Professional Staffers, a division of John Clements Consultants, Inc.  Mr. Jonathan Ravelas, Managing Director of eManagement for Business and Marketing Services and former FVP-Chief Market Strategist of BDO Unibank, was also invited to give an economic briefing to the delegates.

To complete the whole picture, Dr. Veronica Ramirez, Professor at the University of Asia and the Pacific and the BPI Professorial Chair Holder for Migration and Overseas Filipino Work also shared insights on the recruitment of Filipino workers.  A lot of questions and clarifications were posted by the Austrian delegates during the Question and Answer Portion, which also opened the floor for further discussion.

The one-week trade mission to the Philippines aimed to find more information about the Philippines (i.e. recruitment of Filipino personnel and the educational system) with the hope of finalizing a mutually beneficial agreement between the Philippines and Austria.
