“Top company” can mean multiple things: big market capital, best employer, or most valuable brand. Several institutions further have their own list, which may explain the differences in ranking and even inclusion or exclusion of certain companies in the Philippines.

For this list, we combined data from recent releases of LinkedIn’s Top Companies, the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Statista’s The Philippines’ Best Employers, top IT-BPM companies, and Time’s World’s Best Companies, which included a few local businesses.

The lists considered several factors in evaluating companies; these factors include competitive compensation, benefit packages, career development opportunities, work-life balance, workplace culture, employer image and reputation, and employee recommendations. Although numbered, they are in no particular order.

 

  1. Accenture

A global professional services company with capabilities, cloud, digital, and security, Accenture has featured in a few other top companies list. It’s been in the Philippines for some 35 years with more than 79,000 employees. The IT services and consulting company has figured in multiple lists, from best employer in Asia to best workplace. Accenture has also been recognized as a leader in gender equality practices, receiving a Level 2 certificate from EDGE.

 

  1. Procter & Gamble

Procter and Gamble Philippines is a leading consumer goods company. It’s received numerous employer-of-choice awards, including the 2022 Asia CEO Awards “Top Employer of the Year” Grand Winner, in the “2022 Best Companies to Work for in Asia” by HR Asia and it has ranked 4th in the “2023 Philippines Best Workplaces™” list by Great Place To Work.

Founded in 1890 as a single brewery by Enrique María Barretto  San Miguel has since grown into a multinational corporation under the leadership of various executives.

The company’s success is built on a foundation of quality, innovation, and adaptability. The company touts its commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility through initiatives aimed at environmental stewardship, community development, and employee welfare. SMC has received a rating of 8.89 as one of the top employers in the Philippines.

Mynt is the parent company of GCash, and provides financial services. Established in 1996, the company employs 56,000 in the Philippines.
