John
Clements Starts Pals for Cash
by Paul Catiang
A top executive from one of the world’s leading banks came
to John Clements on August 7, 2005, with a unique proposition: a
incentive-based referral drive to fill the bank’s need for
several Customer Service Associates. Thus, the Pals for Cash referral
program was begun. John Clements employees and executives are encouraged
to recommend friends and family, inform them of the benefits of
working for a financial giant’s call center, and for every
successful placement, the employee will get a cash bonus of 500
pesos. More rewards await the one who successfully places the most
number of people in this call center.
The jobs offered aren’t at all difficult
to sell; referrals have a chance at getting a compensation and benefits
package that’s 30% above the industry rate. Training and support
programs ensure success and growth while working in the bank’s
world-class facilities.
Even now, John Clements employees are making lists
of their friends and family, looking for confident, motivated individuals
who can work the graveyard shift in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills will also go a long
way, as well as previous exposure in an international call center.
Experience in customer service roles—and other service-oriented
industries, like hotels, restaurants, and airlines—also make
good prospects. A college degree isn’t even needed; college-level
individuals can find their professional niche if they are driven
and self-motivated.
Pals for Cash lasts for only a month, from August
15 to September 15, 2005, adding a little more excitement to the
search for interested and qualified people.
