Malolos, Bulacan—Known for its role in the Philippine revolutionary struggle against the Spanish colonizers and the location of the famous Barasoain Church is also the site of untapped manpower resources for the requirements of John Clements Consultants, particularly the Contact Center industry.
The two-day job fair, held on July 20 and 21, 2006, at the Malolos Training Employment Cooperative Tourism Office at the Casa Real Building , and was organized in coordination with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and the Office of the Mayor. The job fair is intended to support the urgent needs of a John Clements client who is setting up a new office in Clark Field, Pampanga.
This recruitment activity was very successful as applicants came in by the hundreds. Despite the rain, the applicants continued to line up to secure a number and patiently waited for their numbers to be called for the interview and testing.
Several candidates were short-listed for a final interview with the client, who was very satisfied at the number of talents who were eventually considered as Telesales Representatives. The success of this event has opened the door to more recruitment events in the north.
As a source of potential talents for the BPO industry, Malolos City is ripe with promise, being one of the centers of education in Central Luzon . The universities within its borders include the Bulacan State University , Centro Escolar University , and the University of Regina Carmeli . One of its high schools, the Marcelo H. del Pilar National High School, has a student population of approximately 13,000 students. |
