John Clements Introduces New Concept in Recruitment

Of the thousands of people who go to the malls in Alabang, a good percentage of them jobseekers. A fair number of BPOs also operate in the area, making Alabang a hotspot for outsourcing. In response to this, John Clements has initiated its Reach Out Program, which will take its proven recruitment processes from its central offices in Makati and is opening the first Philippine job store at the Festival Mall in Alabang, making the renowned John Clements service available to both clients and candidates in the area.

"We're reaching out and bringing jobs to the masses," says Carol Dominguez, president and CEO of John Clements. "If you want a call center career, we can place you. If you don't pass the screening process, we'll train you until you can pass. What’s more, this isn’t just available in Makati, but in Alabang, right in Festival Mall, where our services are more accessible. Our Reach Out Program is our most innovative service yet; it's out-of-the-box thinking at its finest."

"We've always wanted to have a job storefront," adds Grace Sorongon, Vice President and Managing Director, "and now we can finally operate one."

The location is a key factor in this opening; since many candidates live near Alabang, where a lot of call centers and BPOs have proliferated, it only makes sense that the John Clements Job Store be situated near both clients and candidates, making it more convenient for both parties.

"We will be using full-cycle processing in the storefront," Ms. Sorongon continues, "and we will also conduct English training and assessment for near-hires." Through this innovation, the time-tested John Clements recruitment process becomes more accessible to more candidates, ensuring that a greater volume of candidates will be processed.

"When you're at the mall," Ms. Dominguez concludes, "you can watch a movie, have coffee, shop for clothes and other things. But next time, try shopping for a job. I'm sure we can find one that fits you."

The John Clements Job Store was launched with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 27, 2006, and was led by Carol Dominguez, president and CEO of John Clements; Eden Florencio, recruitment manager of HSBC; Satish Bettadapul and Rahul Singh of Genpact; Grace Sorongon, vice president and division head of Professional Staffers; and Mario Biscocho, vice president and division head of the Executive Search and Selection Division.
