John Clements and Harvard Business School Publishing:
Cocktails at the Mandarin
by Jay Rulloda
The partnership between John Clements Consultants, Inc. and Harvard Business School Publishing was further strengthened with their third visit in the past five months. Peter McAteer, Vice President and Managing Director of Corporate Learning, was accompanied by Sherry Heffner, Director of Product Design and Development, and Mike Pino Manager for Technological Innovation, in last night’s forum entitled "Unleashing the Knowledge Market" at the Mandarin Hotel.
They had previously met John Clements clients from the outsourcing industry, but the guests at the cocktails were composed of executives and professionals from the Consumer Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical and Finance industries.
Harvard Business School Publishing's primary goal is simple: "to improve the practice of management and its impact in a changing world." Mr. McAteer shared this as he delivered a talk that also emphasized on the value of leadership in addressing pressing issues on attrition in the Philippine setting. Aside from this, talked about the impact of the first 90 days a leader must go through once he assumes his role. It is during this time that one can gauge whether his performance will be beneficial or detrimental to his organization and subordinates. The presence of skilled leaders will definitely make companies compete effectively in a global economy.
What Mr. McAteer discussed was only bits and parcel of what synergy with John Clements can offer. The audience was left excited at the prospect of taking advantage of the opportunities that are now available with the world’s premier leadership and management educational institution has brought its products to the Philippines.
