Blazing Trails into the Future:
The 4th Annual John Clements Sales and Production Conference
by Paul Catiang
From July 6 to 7, 2007, John Clements once again made its yearly pilgrimage to Central Luzon for the much-awaited 4th Annual Sales and Production Conference, where the past year’s efforts were rewarded. This year, the conference was held at White Rock Beach in Subic, Zambales.
The conference began with a recap of the past year by Carol Dominguez, President and CEO of John Clements, whose picture-filled presentation led the trip down memory lane. The president’s report recalled the company’s triumphs in the past year: Jobs@D’Mall 2, trips to India and Dalian, the conferences sponsored by Asean Regional Union of Psychological Societies (ARUPS) and the Personnel Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP), the Philippines Redux series of Business Forums, the BPO the Real Scoop series of Business Forums, the corplanning session and the company Christmas party, Gran Baile de Mascaras, to name a few.
There were also guest speakers in the form of Art Tan, who gave his insights on the mind of a leader, and Apol Dionglay, who spoke on setting trends in marketing services. Workshops and breakout sessions were also held to encourage discussion among the sales and production consultants.
The dinner is, as always, the most-anticipated event of any of the conferences, and this year, John Clements held a luau at the beach, where awards were handed out to the best performers of the year in the following categories: Sales Consultant of the Year, Recruitment Consultant of the Year, First and Second Prizes for Sales, First and Second Prizes for Recruitment, the Most Consistent in Sales, the Most Consistent in Recruitment, and the First, Second, and Third Prizes for the Millionaires’ Club, or the consultants who brought in at least PhP 1 million in revenue.
John Clements is a trendsetter in the human resources industry, but every so often, its employees take the time to remember and celebrate past victories to help set more trends in the future.
