ASSISTANT MANAGER FOR NETWORKING INFRASTRUCTURE
(International Call Center)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand business requirements for customer base and be able to translate them into technical requirements.
- Provide and develop Planning, Design, Implementation, Operation and Optimization services for Data Centre Networking.
- Expert level internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
- Experience configuring, monitoring, and tuning WAN/LAN network devices to optimize network performance and assure network security.
- Demonstrated ability to configure and manage Cisco 3825, 2600, 2800 routers and 3750 switches in a 10/100/1000 multi VLAN DS3 and T-1 frame network.
- Demonstrated experience configuring VLAN's and optimizing a high volume transaction WAN.
- Experience configuring Radius server for remote access.
- Participation in team to strategize and implement network upgrade from legacy network configuration.
- Network systems planning and diagramming Visio for documentation.
- Experience with IOS, Cisco configuration utilities; network monitoring software, and UNIX.
- Demonstrated experience using a protocol analyzer to identify and resolve network issues and network usage trends.
- Experience with LAN hardware including patch panels, Fiber Optic, Cat5e and Cat 6 wiring.
- Working knowledge of extensive, complex, multi-OS LAN environments connected via WAN.
- Extensive knowledge of 6500, 4500, 3500, 2900 series Cisco switches. Hands on knowledge of FSM's, Sup720's, NAM Modules, PoE, and Layer 3 routing on switches.
- Interact with vendors for Support and Services.·
- Recommend procurement of Networking Equipment and Peripherals.
- Implement Standard IT Operating Procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A graduate of Computer Science and any other IT related degree.
- With at least 3-6 years experience as a Network Engineer, most preferably worked in a Call Center.
- With CCNA, CCNP or CISA certification.
- Routing protocols such as RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
- Network facility management: LAN Cabling, Fiber termination and good knowledge on Passive infrastructure
- Traffic engineering
- High Proficiency in MS office/ Project/ Access.
- Documentation skills

- Problem identification and analytical ability
- Decision making and convincing ability
- Extensively worked in network design, implementation, installation, administration, troubleshooting, support, capacity planning, performance management, disaster recovery in a wide range of devices and technologies including knowledge of various operating systems, databases, network environments, application software and hardware.
- Should have worked on Websence, Concords and some of the popular Service desk tools like HP openview & Remedy.
