Overseas Recruitment Process Made Easy

1. I am interested to work overseas. What
is the first step and where do I go?
As an initial step to applying for any job, whether
local or overseas, it is essential that you come up with a *good
resume which will serve as your initial link to your targeted
employer.
You will then have to search for agencies/recruitment
consulting firms with proven track record to speak of which can
guide and assist you land in a reputable and dynamic organization.
Be vigilant in choosing recruitment firms! With the numerous players

4. How will EDI Staffbuilders help me find
a job overseas?
Once you have submitted your resume to EDI Staffbuilders
Int’l, Inc. either personally or thru e-mail, a consultant
in charge will conduct a thorough paper screening of your qualifications.
Then, you will be invited to report at the EDI Staffbuilders office
for an interview. This is done to make sure that you fit the job
opening thus land in the right job.
Should you fit the prescribed job profile, you
will then be included in the shortlist, which will be sent-off
to the client for review and assessment. Should the client approve
the shortlist, a telephone interview or a business visit to the
Philippines is arranged and scheduled. Whichever the case, you
will be properly informed and guided about the schedule and other
important matters.
After the client interview, EDI Staffbuilders
will notify you about the interview results as soon as the client
makes the hiring decision.
5. How will I know if my consultant included
me in the shortlist?
EDI Staffbuilders’ professional and competent
consultants will be more than willing to inform you if you indeed
made it to the shortlist. Follow up calls may be done two weeks
after your consultant’s interview to allow ample time for
proper evaluation. Rest assured that all assessments are done
objectively and based on merits.
6. I was not included in the shortlist.
Do I still have a chance to work overseas?
YES. Even as you were not considered for the
position you were interviewed for, there will definitely be other
requirements that will most likely be a suitable job for you.
Don’t be disheartened. Take it positively. You wouldn’t
want to take on a job that wont suit you that you end up becoming
inefficient, would you? You just need to wait for that right position
that would really match your skills and qualifications.
7. I am one of the shortlisted candidates.
The client interviewed me already. How long should I wait for the
result?
Every client (company) has its own standards
and timetable for selecting candidates. One client can make an
offer on the very same day that he conducted the interview. Others
would take two to four weeks to decide. Whichever the case you
are free to call EDI Staffbuilders for a follow up, ideally, between
4:00 PM – 5:30 PM, though it is certain that you will be
notified in case there are some developments and / or you are
selected.
8. Your client interviewed me for a Sales Engineer position.
If ever I am selected, what will I do next?
Congratulations! You will now be turned over
by your consultant to the in-house documentation and processing
team of EDI Staffbuilders known as PDG or Processing and Documentation
Group. Upon endorsement to this group, a welcoming PDG representative
will brief, orient, and guide you on how to go about the completion
of your travel documents. Listed below are some vital information
you would need to undergo and comply with:
• Medical examination endorsement/referral
• Psychological test endorsement/referral
• Documentary requirements to be completed
• Travel advisory and travel tips
• Pre Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS)
Using a well-developed and improved-through-the-years
monitoring system, PDG efficiently keeps track of all the candidates’
progress and timetable from the day they were turned over for
documentation and processing until their departure date.
