John Clements Initiates New Outsourcing Ventures in Indonesia
By Paul Catiang

In the second week of February, three consultants from the John Clements main office in Manila flew to PT John Clements Consultants Indonesia in Jakarta as part of an exchange program designed to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and expertise between the two offices.

The consultants were chosen according to their respective specialties in the field of recruitment: Rowena Aquino for large-scale recruitment, Charlotte de Jesus for executive search, and Jasmin Lozada for outsourcing. All three services are offered by PT John Clements Consultants, and Andi Mohammad Hatta, president-director of the Jakarta office, believes that their expertise has been proven and needs to be passed on to the office’s recruitment consultants.

Several opportunities for outsourcing were discovered in the outsourcing field. Jasmin Lozada, the consultant concerned, was not only in charge of training the outsourcing consultants of PT John Clements, but also contracted several clients, some new and others currently being serviced by John Clements in the Philippines.

First on this list is a multinational computer company which has availed of John Clements’s outsourcing services for several years now, and three years ago, the client began its relationship with PT John Clements, which takes care of their outsourced salaries and benefits processes. PT John Clements has deployed dozens of employees to service this client’s needs, and the multinational computer company has signified an intention to avail PT John Clements as it expands throughout Indonesia.

Other companies include a pharmaceutical company interested in filling their plant requirements and getting more temporary staff for an expected product launch; an international manufacturing company currently employing administrative, technical, accounting and general services staff; and a global financial aid institution that has already engaged the services of the Makati office of John Clements.

The challenge, according to Ms. Lozada, is finding people to focus on the outsourcing services of PT John Clements Consultants. “There aren’t that many of them, and the existing consultants in the Jakarta office are also conducting executive search and large-scale recruitment work, aside from outsourcing,” she reports.

PT John Clements Consultants currently aims to add to their ranks to tap into the vast market of clients ready and willing to avail of their services.
