John Clements Rolls out Polishing English Classes for Employees
By Paul Catiang
In keeping with the company’s drive for excellence, and in acknowledgment of how crucial English is to today’s workforce, John Clements will be offering Polishing English classes for all John Clements employees. The two-month course will be conducted by the same trainers who train candidates and near-hires for call centers, starting the third week of October until December 2006.
“We’re investing in our people,” says Carol Dominguez, President and CEO, “and we want John Clements to be world-class as far as our communication skills are concerned.” These classes are, of course, free to all employees of the company.
The Polishing English program is the tried-and-tested hundred-hour course John Clements has developed and refined over the years to cater to the training needs of call centers and other companies in the BPO industry. The program makes use of Small-group Communicative Methodology, which divides a class into smaller groups and encourages peer teaching and correction, and self-correction; this method maximizes the training a teacher can provide, as opposed to the traditional, frontal method. |
